For over a decade Dutch IT companies have been developing Software in Bulgaria for the Dutch and other foreign markets. During these years we learned a lot from our customers in our home market, our colleagues and about software development.

We thought is about time to share this knowledge to people outside our companies. In order to do this, we selected a number of our expertise areas in order to present a variety of interesting subjects.

Speakers

Rene Beekman

Rene Beekman lives and works in Bulgaria for more than a decade. He currently manages web projects for Callfactory. He also teaches at National Academy of Arts, within the Digital Arts programme and he is co-founder of Reaktiv, a collective that creates interactive installations for advertisements events, performances and museum exhibits. He has co-founded and is co-organizer of Dorkbot Sofia and Ignite Sofia, among others.

Ms. Riny Bus, Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. and Head of Economic Department, will represent the Embassy of the Netherlands.

Koos Jan Schouten (Webfactory)

After a career of some 20 years in the Travel Industry, both on the airline and tour-operator side, Koos turned his focus towards the Internet in 1995 and three years later founded Webfactory Bulgaria, a Dutch-Bulgarian web design and web development agency located in the heart of Sofia. WF delivers added value to its clients with strategic consulting and creative thinking, backed up by bespoke design and technical excellence. WF specializes in the end-to-end development of websites, e-commerce solutions, insurance funnels, information portals and web based software. Board Member of the Tulip Foundation, President of the Association of Special Fares Agent andChairman of the Bulgarian-Dutch Business Club.

Bart Meinders (Virtual Affairs)

Bart Meinders is Front-End Engineer at Virtual Affairs. He is specialized in implementing complex web interfaces using HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery.

Miroslav Mironov (Virtual Affairs)

Miroslav Mironov is Android Software Engineer at Virtual Affairs and Assistant Professor at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski”

Ivan Uzunov (Strypes)

Ivan Uzunov is a Scrum Master at Strypes EOOD with PDEng in Electronics from Technical University of Eindhoven, MSc research in Philips Research High Tech Campus Eindhoven, MSc in Electronics from Technical University Sofia.

Jeroen van Hertum (ISDC)

Jeroen van Hertum is General director of ISDC Sofia and has over 15 years experience with several complex IT projects (financial, logistics and web) and started up several successful IT-companies.

Stanimira Jelezova (ISDC)

Stanimira Jelezova is responsible for the solutions department in our Sofia branch. She has been leading software development teams for about 2 years in iOS development and Server/Web developemnt. She has been involved in development and maintaninance of multiplatform software architecture. She has experience with product management, team management and client comunication.

Kalin Iliev (Webfactory)

Kalin Iliev is head of production at Webfactory for 3 years. He's responsible for the operational procedures relating to the web development process. Graduate from the The Hague University (HHS) in the Netherlands. Was born in Bulgaria, raised in Holland and since 6 years at Webfactory.
